If you live in the Indianapolis area and are still in need of an inexpensive prom dress, email us at droyourdress@yahoo.com.
Long dresses are $50 and short dresses are $30. We even have dresses that can work for homecoming or graduation. Just let us know!
Also, we are still accepting donations! There will be an ‘official’ dress collections at BHS and UHS after prom, but we will take your dresses whenever.

Hey guys! It’s been awhile since we brought you up to date, and we’ve been really busy!
First of all, did you see us in the Hendricks County Flyer? We wanted to clear up one small fluke: our fundraiser is no longer being held on Saturday, February 25. It will now take place on Saturday, March 10 from 11 AM to 1 PM. The fundraiser will feature a runway show of brand new prom dresses…including several that you could win!! Lunch is included in the price. Several vendors and salons will be present, where you can book hair/nail appointments if you wish.
We are super excited. If you want to purchase a ticket, you can email us at dropyourdress@yahoo.com or give one of us a call!
Also, keep an ear out on KLOVE radio station (101.9 for the Indianapolis area) for DYD! You can also check out their website at www.klove.com.

Wow. God is good.
Today was the final day for monetary donations and dress collections (for now) in the CPCC middle school and high school ministries. These teens were able to donate 68 dresses, 2 suit jackets and 16 ties, as well as more than $500.
Who says teens are selfish, self-serving people? Not any more!!
Thank you to everyone who donated–you have no idea that impact your help will make to someone.
We are proud to serve an amazing, wonderful, powerful God.
If He is for us, what could possibly get in our way?

Today, we have some very exciting things to share, but first, the quote of the week.
“Plan B for us is still Plan A for God.”
This quote is perfect, because we have decided to change our mission a little bit. Instead of hosting a resale of used dresses, we will instead be hosting a pre-prom event for teen girls sometime in mid-February. More details to come!
Other exciting news: Connection Pointe Christian Church has agreed to give us a starting budget, as well as let us host fundraising opportunities in the middle- and high school ministries. The first one will take place every Sunday during the month of December. Small groups will compete for the highest donations, and the winning group will receive donuts on the first Sunday of the January. Also: if you live in the Brownsburg/Indianapolis area and have a dress/suit pieces you are willing to donate, we will be collecting them on Sunday December 11 and 18, from 9 AM to noon at Connection Pointe Christian Church. If you can’t make it on either of those dates, don’t worry! We will have more collection times in January.

“There is no better way to play the game than all-out.”
This week is all about passion. Last weekend, we got the opportunity to hang with a whole bunch of middle schoolers at a youth event, and we had a ton of fun. We probably had more energy than the rest of the room combined, but by the end of weekend, everyone else had almost caught up to us, and we were exhausted. Later on, we were talking and realized that no one had yet taught these kids that it’s okay (and even encouraged) to worship freely, to dance and sing at the top of your lungs–that the definition of worship is in the eye of the beholder. All these middle schoolers were still in that awkward, “What are people going to think about me?” phase; they still cared about how people perceived their actions and enthusiasm. Apparently, standing there silently makes you cool…we never got the memo. HA.
But anyways, DYD is all about passion. Right now, passion and determination are the only things we’ve got to keep us going and to make DYD succeed. Thank you for all of your support!

…isn’t that just DYD in a nutshell?

October 12: Quote of the Week
God gives you bold dreams for a reason; He wants you to know what you’re capable of. –@MichaelMinot
This is our bold dream. We don’t know all of what we’re capable of, but we know that this is going work. No matter what, Drop Your Dress is going to happen. It’s happening.
